GPG Reunion Weekend 2008

Beautiful fall weather! Enjoyed a long walk on the Dunes on Sat. Saw a deer, a few frogs, a few snakes, a praying mantis, geese, & a beaver! And that was just in the first few minutes! Great dinner, wine, music, company, and conversation until the wee hours. Much laughter was shared, much food was eaten (yummy Eggs Benedict… Sunday morning!)

Awesome Family Time Together!

What a gorgeous house! We had an awesome time with our family here.
Some great suggestions:
-Drive to lavender farm and have lunch at the Grange (fabulous Cabernet…)
-Coffee at the Cuban place in Picton
-Dinner parties every night
-Picking basil and rosemary in the garden
-Norman Hardy winery
The kitchen was a pleasure to be in. Love your flare and good taste. |

90th Birthday Celebration!

Had a fabulous get-together to celebrate…. mother who is turning 90. They came from Montreal and Philadelphia. We’ve enjoyed your beautiful house, touring and appreciating all the decoration, antiques, art and the colours on the wall, especially the kitchen. You’ve done an incredible job!
Everybody enjoyed Sandbanks, as well as the garden.

A million thanks for sharing this lovely place with us! It has added a new dimension to our trip to Kingston… the beach was fantastic and brought back lots of memories.
This has definitely been a vacation to remember…. This house is absolutely gorgeous & the beach is amazing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Eckhart House. (Thanks for arranging the weather).
Our family reunion was entirely successful largely because of the House and its grounds and all the cooks enjoyed the kitchen and its facilities. The large dining room table accommodated gracefully our family dinners.

An Unforgettable Visit

Our visit of Prince Edward County and Sandbanks will be unforgettable. This is truly a splendid house, decorating with such great taste and so much attention to detail in its restoration. We cooked up a storm in a kitchen of our dreams and put on a few pounds eating and drinking fine wine. We would like to thank the owners and Liz Bosma of County Vacation for allowing us the opportunity to spend a week in the paradise Eckhart House! Bravo!

Amazing! Simply amazing! You dotted every “i” and crossed every “T” and it sure paid off. Every room was great. With the kitchen and all the great food from The County, we were able to make better food than any restaurant could provide. The Eckhart House truly was the picture of perfection.

This has been most parents’ dream of a holiday. All of our children – plus all of THEIR children together for a truly wonderful & joyous time together. In part, the house, with its welcoming flowers, yummy jam (thank you, it’s delicious) local wines, (another great touch) and its truly timeless sense of “coming home”, have made this a memorable week. ………………my hat off to your vision and restoration. We would all so love to make this an annual holiday and hopefully we will.
